Description

When we attempt click on a link to upload a data we receive ' Access Denied' (see below for complete error). I have gone to the surfing area and added the below URL but not sure if i did it wrong or if I need to do more. I can access the link and upload the data i need outside of the SiteKiosk console. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

According to the surf area rules the navigation to mdtcldss-upload://aHR0cHM6Ly9jYXJlbGluay5taW5pbWVkLmV1L2FwaS91cGxvYWRlci92MS9wYXRpZW50/MGIwMWZkZTItMGFmMy00ZjNmLWI0NWMtNTJiODQwY2UxODAz was canceled.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. This may be possible with allowing your custom protocol schema and adding the exception to the Surfing Area. Using this case as an example to edit your protocol, https://www.provisio.com/en-US/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=24986 , the changes are made in the XML settings of your chosen SiteKiosk configuration file. Simply, open the file with a text editor program like Notepad or Notepad++ to add "mdtcldss-upload://" to the list.

Next, in Surfing Area URLs/Paths, you can use the wildcarded protocol "*://" then your URL or in the Address List TXT or CSV file add the entire link on a new line "mdtcldss-upload:// ..[link]..." . These should give you access to your services as needed.
