Support Request: Periodic credentials change

Reproduction

NA

Description

Hi,

We are managing more than 50 kiosk that running SiteKiosk application, all of them are running the default password we set when we install SiteKiosk application. I was wondering if there is an automated way, or scripted way to change sitekiosk user password, and make this change reflected in the sitekiosk application
What's the best workflow to follow when changing sitekiosk user password?

It is neither necessary nor recommended that you change the SiteKiosk User Account password. The concept of the SiteKiosk software's security is that it doesn't matter if someone knows the password of the SiteKiosk user because the "SiteKiosk Restricted User Account" is protected (and SiteKiosk starts automatically after login if "auto Start" is activated). The user of the SiteKiosk machine should not be able to see the Windows login screen to input the password but SiteKiosk also block the keyboard during the Startup of Windows.

It is possible however to automate the change of the SiteKiosk User Account password.. This can only be done during the installation of the software:

1. Press Windows logo key+R to open a run dialog
2. Type cmd in the run dialog box to open a Command Prompt window
3. In the Command prompt window, type this line

sitekiosk9.exe /V"DEFAULTPASSWD=12mypasswd"

4. NOTE: Change the “12mypasswd” to a password of your choice that fits your network restrictions. You will need to change the directory of the command prompt to where the file is saved.
