Support Request: Error encountered on sitekiosk

Reproduction

Once we hit submit button we got the html code showing on the next page.

Description

We have this issue whereby the page will not render properly in sitekiosk and instead the page will show the html code on the screen as attached in sitekiosk_issue.txt.

We tried to update to sitekiosk verison 8.9 latest version but this issue still persists.

Does your page display properly in IE outside of SiteKiosk on the computer where you replicated the issue in SiteKiosk?

The first thing you can try is to deactivate 'SiteKiosk' in the user agent header in the configuration tool under >Basic >Start Page & Browser >Advanced. Uncheck 'Add "SiteKiosk" to user agent header'.

You can also try compatibility view settings for SiteKiosk to resolve the display issue. See below to test different compatibility settings in SiteKiosk.

Close the SiteKiosk configuration tool then open your configuration file in Notepad and search for:

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" />

and change it to this:

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="false" />


Save the file then test in SiteKiosk. SiteKiosk needs to be started twice for the setting to take effect so start SiteKiosk in Start Once mode then close it right after it start and run it in Start Once mode again to test the issue. Other compatibility view settings can be found below.
