There are a number of directories and registry entries created while Pictomio is being installed. This list shows which these are.
If you decide to uninstall Pictomio by hand you will need to delete these folders and registry entries.
These registry keys are created:
- "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pictomio"
- "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Pictomio"
These folders are created:
- "<Program Files>\Pictomio"
- "<Documents and Settings>\<User>\<Start Menu>\Programs\Pictomio"
A folder in your user profile will be created when you start Pictomio for the first time. In this folder lies the database of Pictomio where all the created thumbnails and metainforation is saved. This database is lying under
"<Documents and Settings>\<User>\Local Settings\Application Data\Pictomio".
In case that you have installed an Pictomio installer version 5 or smaller we recommend to either uninstall Pictomio by hand or install a newer Pictomio version over the installed one (you can find out which installation version you have installed by looking at the registry key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pictomio\InstallerVersion").
Please note that these paths may vary if you have installed Pictomio on an operating system other than Windows XP. E.g. Vista stores its user profiles under "C:\Users". These paths may also change if you own an operating system that is not english.
