Edit Importing files
Use the "Import" button in the
menu bar or click "Import" on the "File" menu to import files from drives or other storage media (e.g. cameras).

Select the requested drive or storage medium from the resulting pop-up window using the Select button at the top. Browse your system using either the browser window or the "file path bar" and select the folders or files you want to import.

Tip: To select several files at once, use the keyboard shortcut
[CTRL]+[left mouse button]
In the lower part of the window, you can specify if you want to save the files to the group directory "My Pictures" or "Shared Pictures" and create a target folder as well.
Turn on the checkbox "Add to album" and select an album from the drop-down menu if you want to assign your imported files to a specific album.
