Support Request: Multiple tabs in a browser window

Description

Our Employee training website is requiring the user to login each time they click on a new training tab. Is there a best practice for settings inside the Kiosk to make the end user experience better? Preferably login to the site once, open any links in a new tab while staying authenticated and then close out of everything at the very end. Is that possible?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. It depends on the website itself. Most sites, do not lose user session when you switch or open tabs. You will be logged out after SiteKiosk Logout or Screensaver activation with default settings. We have tested with two different email sites and able to maintain session after switching tabs.

You could test the newest SiteKiosk version as all older versions are no longer supported. If you are able to replicate the issue with the newest version, you can send your configuration file - C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Config (*.skcfg files, ignore *.skcfg.local) and steps taken to replicate to support-america(at)provisio.com referencing this post.

Best regards,
Andre.
