Description

When the page loads from a fresh computer restart everything works and the Chat system loads properly when you sign in.

After the screensaver file loads for the first time after timeout and someone deactivates the screensaver the script for the chat box fails to work properly and throws .js errors. When you login to the chat system it gets stuck at processing your request. The script fails to run because of errors.

This chat will only work when someone is logged into the chat software as a chat agent. In order to recreate the issue someone will need to be logged in on our end. I can provide you with our config file so it can be loaded on a test tablet. I'm not sure if this is a windows 8 surface tablet specific problem or not.

The chat works fine in any browser: Safari, Chrome, IE10, IE9, Firefox, as well as the Kiosk Demonstration Browser I was sent by a tech from provisio.

The problem ONLY occurs in a deployed kiosk running the screensaver. When the computer is freshly restarted and the screen saver has not run the chat software works perfectly fine. AFTER the screensaver has run for the first time the chat window will not load the chat software properly.

What version of Windows 8 are you running on the tablet? The problem seems to be related to the script errors on the page after the cache is cleared. If you click the Advanced button under the screensaver options you can uncheck the option to clear the cache and cookies and test it like that to determine if that is what is causing the issue with your page.

You can also deactivate the screensaver completely to avoid this issue. The screensaver can be completely deactivated by opening the configuration file in Notepad and then search for "screensaver" and change "true" to "false".

The screensaver is neccessary, it is part of the sales tool. Videos play to attract customers to the kiosk.
Also clearing the cache is necessary. User data will be inputted into the kiosk and after every session it will need to be reset to protect customer information.

The errors occur after the screensaver is run, not after the cache has cleared. It makes absolutely no sense.

It is a Microsoft Surface PRO, Windows 8 Professional, IE 10 (Of course it is running from the Kiosk Browser)...
