  • Use the search scroll bar on the right edge of the window or the center wheel on your mouse to browse through your thumbnail collection.
  • Move your mouse pointer slowly over the thumbnails to see a larger view of your images in a pop-up window. This enlarged view also provides you with important image information including the file name, the file size, the format and the color depth.
  • Use the row of stars in the display frame to rate your pictures in a quick and easy fashion with a click of your mouse.
  • You can use the thumbnail zoom slider located at the bottom of the main window to adjust the size of the thumbnails.

Filter criteria

The "Y" menu allows you to pre-set filter criteria and use the checkboxes "Hide non-image files" and "Hide folders" to specify whether or not you want to display these files and directories. You can change the way your thumbnails are sorted and grouped in the view window by using the buttons "Grouping" and "Sorting".

Thumbnail grouping

The group menu lets display the entire contents of the thumbnail view according to pre-defined grouping criteria. The groups in thumbnail view are divided by a labeled line that provides you with specific information such as the date the pictures were taken and the number of entries if the images are grouped by "days". You can use the "collapsible/ expand button" next to the dividing line to show and hide the group divisions.

The group menu provides you with the following grouping criteria:

  • "No grouping"
  • "By rating"
  • "By year"
  • "By month"
  • "By day"
  • "By type"
  • "By original path"
  • "By volume"
  • "By orientation"(landscape, portrait)
  • "By megapixel count"

Use the option "Backwards" to reverse the sorting of a thumbnail list.

Thumbnail sorting

This menu allows you to specify how you want the thumbnails of the selected group to be sorted. For instance, if you set the grouping to "By rating" and selected "By name" under sorting, all thumbnails will be displayed first by the highest or lowest rating and then in alphabetical order. Turning on the checkbox "Descending" will reverse the internal sorting order.

You can choose from the following sorting criteria:

  • "By name"
  • "By date"
  • "By file size"
  • "By rating"
  • "By viewcount"
